SUMMARY:Ontario's Booze Business
DESCRIPTION:The politics of alcohol in Ontario has always been a hotly debated issue. Many Ontarians remain unaware that the Beer Store is controlled by multinationals that are largely based outside of Canada. A recent investigative piece by the Toronto Star accused the Beer Store and the LCBO of working together to employ non-competitive business practices for beer sales. \n  \nIs there the political will to make large-scale liquor reform in Ontario? What would be the impact on consumers and our communities? \n  \nThe Toronto Star’s provincial politics columnist Martin Regg Cohn has been at the forefront of many of these investigative pieces. Please join us in welcoming him to discuss these and other issues about the politics of liquor distribution in the province. \n  \nWe will be at our (licensed) uptown location\, The Rose and Crown at 2335 Yonge Street.
