SUMMARY:Smart Cities - Will we leave people behind?
DESCRIPTION:Toronto has made Amazon’s short list for its new Headquarters. Google is investing $50M to create a smart city lab on our waterfront. It’s safe to say that Toronto will be a city of the future.  However\, what happens to the people when the cities get smarter? \nIs privacy a concept of a bygone era?  Will those who can least afford technology become increasingly marginalized and unable to access services? \nJoin us as we discuss the benefits and drawbacks of a fully connected city. How can we make sure the groundwork we lay today don’t create winners and losers down the road? We’ll be joined by Bianca Wylie\, Co-founder Tech Reset Canada & Head\, Open Data Institute Toronto\, Shonda Wang\, Lead\, Urban Design\, SvN\, and Riad Hartani\, partner at Xona Partners\, a consultant on smart city project around the world. \nWe’ll be meeting Monday March 19 at the Madison Pub.
