SUMMARY:What is the state of Canadian International Development?
DESCRIPTION:With a new government barely 3 months into their mandate\, changes to how the government operates have already been apparent.  Canadian International Development is emerging from a decade under the former government that had critics calling it anything from politicized to corporatized. \nWill the next decade under this new government be any different? How will Canadian agencies reclaim their place on the world stage?  Will Canadian NGOs be able to be more effective moving forward? Why Should I Care? has teamed up with Canadian International Council – Toronto Branch for this discussion about the state of Canadian International Development. \nJoin us on February 22nd at the Madison Pub (14 Madison Avenue). Luke Stocking\, Central Ontario Animator for Development and Peace\, Melissa Matlow\, Legislative and Public Affairs Manager at World Animal Protection\, and Nikki Whaites\, Deputy Director of International Programs for War Child Canada\, will be forming the panel. \nDoors open for informal networking at 7:00pm\, discussion starts promptly at 7:30.  Please RSVP to let us know you can join us. \nAs always\, the events are free\, you just have to pay for what you order.
