Nearly 40 years ago, the Club of Rome identified our lifestyles as unsustainable. And ever since, consumption has gone up rather than down. Reducing consumption has been argued to decrease economic development, a sacred cow of many successful governments. Nevertheless, entrepreneurs have found ingenious ways to decrease consumption while increasing economic productivity. At our June 20th WSIC event, Kate Holloway, director of the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association, and Jeff Dreben, managing director of DBL Cleantech Capital will explain how: leading a discussion about what policies work best to stimulate the green economy. Join us at Pauper´s Pub, 539 Bloor St. W at 7pm, to take part in the discussion.
