Canada on the World Stage

January 26, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Canada’s role on the world stage is ever changing. From its early independence in WWI to becoming an economic powerhouse as part of the G7 we are now experiencing a different country. We nurtured a global image as peace keepers and socially conscious capitalists. Recently we were presented with the fossil award as the least productive country in world climate talks. Is this change real and fair? Is it what we want to become? What are the impacts of our current actions on our future?

Dr. Alan Chapnick, Associate Professor at the Canadian Forces College, and Paul Kirkconnell, Managing Direct at The Kirchner Group, will be discussing how Canada’s place in the world has evolved over time and the impact it has on our military, foreign policy, and business community.

Join us on January 26th at the Pilot (22 Cumberland) on the second floor for an informative discussion about Canada’s place on the global stage and how it impacts our public policies and businesses.

Doors Open 7:00pm. Discussion starts promptly at 7:30.

Please RSVP on our Eventbrite page.
