Vision Zero or Zero Vision?

June 18, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Is Toronto implementing Vision Zero or Zero Vision?

Toronto has adopted a 5 year, $87 Million plan to reduce pedestrian deaths and yet we are on pace for the deadliest year ever. While pedestrians and cyclists are dying on record pace, city council still bickers over how much of a vehicular traffic delay is too much. It seems pedestrian deaths is the cost of driver throughput.

Should Toronto still put so much emphasis on vehicular traffic when it is becoming a less important part of our economy and day to day lives? What can Toronto do to realize its Vision Zero goals?

We will be joined by Rebecca Goodman from Walk Toronto, and traffic engineer, Dewan Karim on Monday June 18 at the Madison Avenue Pub (14 Madison Avenue).

Doors open 7:00pm. Discussion starts promptly at 7:30pm.

As usual, our events are free, you only have to pay for what you order.

Please RSVP to let us know if you’re joining us.
