Read More »On May 16, retired engineer Nobuyoshi (Nobby) Miura, and Dr. Kelly Moghul will be joining us to answer any questions we might have on nuclear safety. Over the span of his career Mr. Miura has worked on power generation research, design, and nuclear safety. Dr. Moghul is still an active consultant in the nuclear energy industry. Together, they will be discussing issues pertaining to health risk, and comparing Canada’s situation to Japan’s current crisis.

Everyone left with a better appreciation of the role of municipal government and a sense of how certain policies historically have affected our city. Moving forward, we need to keep this history in mind to make good decisions in the future.
