Professor Jeffrey Hutchings, Professor of Biology at Dalhousie, criticized the Conservatives, but also offered a first-hand account of how such policy affected the Eastern fishery under the Liberals. On May 16, retired engineer Nobuyoshi (Nobby) Miura, and Dr. Kelly Moghul will be joining us to answer any questions we might have on nuclear safety. Over the span of his career Mr. Miura has worked on power generation research, design, and nuclear safety. Dr. Moghul is still an active consultant in the nuclear energy industry. Together, they will be discussing issues pertaining to health risk, and comparing Canada’s situation to Japan’s current crisis.
